Marketing Intern

OVERVIEW:
The Marketing Intern reports to the organization’s Marketing Manager and/or Director and is responsible for helping implement all aspects of marketing, branding, messaging, and public relations for Flying House Productions, including social media support and occasional ticketing duties as necessary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Support all aspects of social media, including Twitter, Facebook, and blog postings
• Support development of weekly eNews
• Help develop online virtual Street Team
• List upcoming events on all online calendars
• Offer feedback and input on marketing campaigns and projects
• Assist with developing and proofing all marketing collateral
• Provide clerical and administrative assistance
• May at times assist with box office order placements
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Background or strong interest in arts administration, specifically marketing and communications
• Knowledge and experience working with multiple social media platforms
• Computer proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong writing and proofreading skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Solid interpersonal, motivational and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects; set and meet deadlines
• Comfort in working with people of varying backgrounds and sexual orientations

HOURS and CREDITS

• 10-20 hours/week; negotiable and flexible
• University credit offered to qualified students
