Fundraising/Auction Internship
Description
This position is responsible for assisting in the development, planning and
implementation of the Annual Artist Program and Auction - including, but not limited:
Duties & Responsibilities
. Assist with donations being added to Auction Tracker (data entry).
. Help design procurement letters, gift certificates and meeting invitations.
. Responsible for follow-up on possible solicitation of donations.
. Prepares progress reports on auction donations.
. Assists in inventory control of auction donations.
. Assists in setup and tear-down of all special events.
. Assist in the development and writing of articles printed in our quarterly magazine.
Reporting Structure
The Intern will work closely with the Special Events Manager in the design and implementation of two major fundraising events, i.e., annual auction, dinner and dance and the artist reception. In addition, the intern will work closely with the Development Director and other staff.
Qualifications
. Enrolled in a credited college or university.
. Finely developed interpersonal skills.
. Excellent organizational skills (i.e. ability to efficiently organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines).
. Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
. Knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Outlook.
. Available some evenings and weekend hours.
