Live!!

There's nothing like being in the audience at a Seattle Men's Chorus Holiday Concert. This recording puts you in a center seat as chorus members speak about their personal holiday memories and sing great music like A Season For Lovers and O Little Town of Bethlehem. Stephen Sondheim's classic Children Will Listen features the voices of two children reading memories written by chorus men about their parents. A must for anyone who wants to experience the magic and joy of a Seattle Men's Chorus concert.

SEATTLE MEN'S CHORUS
Artistic Director: Dennis Coleman
Principal Accompanist: Evan Stults

Combining songs of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwaanza with the warmth and joy that have become its hallmarks, the Seattle Men's Chorus annual Holiday Concert has become a tradition of love and renewal for thousands.

From the childhood reminiscences of the 180 gay men who sing in the Chorus to the small ensemble of dancing reindeer; from frolicking elves on parade to the sign-interpreted Silent Night; the SMC Holiday Concert is a joyous and profound experience that cannot be easily described … and is never forgotten.

With this collection of songs and dialog recorded live during SMC's 1993 and 1994 Holiday Concerts, we take a musical look at the many traditions of the holiday season and sing about the child that lives within each of us.

We hope that you will join us in celebrating the magic of that season.
