IT'S HOT. Traffic is heavy and you're late. It's been a long, frustrating, exhausting day. What you want more than anything is a pair of cucumber slices to put on your eyes. Sigh. You turn on the radio. And - oh, my God! All of a sudden you're singing at the top of your voice. You had forgotten how much you loved that song. All at once the world is a wonderful place. Just one song can do that.

We wanted a chance to record our all-time favorite 'oh-my-God-I-love-that-song' songs. The selection process was grueling. Like Twelve Angry Men, we sequestered ourselves in a windowless room vowing not to emerge until we had found fifteen songs upon which we agreed. Opinions were expressed. Threats were tendered. Tears were shed. Coffee and sandwiches were served. Compromises were made. A column of white smoke appeared from our chimney, and UnderCover was born.

Who doesn't (at least secretly) love Xanadu? If you have not yet heard Rufus Wainwright, we hope Vibrate will leave you wanting more. Sir Elton, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Bill Withers: we hope we have done your songs justice.

So pop UnderCover into your CD player and sing along. Roll the windows down and sing out. We hope you like singing these songs as much as we have.
